Excursion with our class

For the second weekend of our time in Barcelona, our class went on our planned excursion to different areas around northern Spain. We went to Tossa del Mar, Girona, and Peratallada. We spent the night at a really nice hotel in Calella de Palafrugell. It was a 5 minute walk to a small beach with a beautiful coast.

Norway with my bestfriend!

A few days before I left to travel to Europe, Nerissa texted me that she was going to be studying in Oslo, Norway for a month. Our schedules worked out perfectly that I was able to visit her in Norway after my class excursion in Paris. I flew in on Friday morning and spent all weekend together exploring the beautiful area. We have been friends since 6th grade and it was amazing to spend time together on the other side of the world!  Royal Palace of Oslo  We took a boat ride through the fjord!  It had unlimited shrimp!  Sunrise at 3am  One of the sculptures at the Vigeland Sculpture park  Painting of a Norwegian Fjord at the National Art Museum  The Scream!!  From the rooftop of Nerissa's dorms Swimming in the fjord at 9 at night  So happy we got to spend the weekend together!

Montserrat

On the last weekend before going to Paris, I took a solo trip to Montserrat to hike for a day. It is an hour train ride with a transfer. I ended up getting off a stop early and walked a mile to the next train stop before reaching Montserrat. While many tourist go to Montserrat for the monastery, I only spent a few minutes in it but spent hours hiking the surrounding trails. I started hiking with no plan and followed a trail to Sant Jeroni. Sant Jeroni is 1,236m above sea level which is 4,055 feet. I hiked to there from the monastery and then walked down a different way to get a longer loop.  I ended the day relaxing on my Madera Outdoor Hammock. It was a beautiful place and I highly recommend anyone traveling to Barcelona to take a day trip here.
